Thank you everybody!

What a brilliant day!  Our first Open Day at Green Lane went better than we could have ever expected.  Thanks to everybody to came along and it was great to welcome faces both familiar and new.  The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive and we’re already looking forward to our next Open Day.

Thank you once again to both our visitors and the SAM volunteers who make it possible.

Absolutely Clueless!

Andy and Lucy from BBC Radio Humberside solved the fiendishly difficult cryptic clue on the Absolutely Clueless to lead them to the Museum.  You can listen again here and they reach the Museum at about 55 minutes.

Lucy had to bit of excavating of her own to find the next clue….

First Open Day In Our New Home

We’re glad to say that preparations are almost complete and our first Open Day will be on the 22nd April 2017 between 10am and 4pm.

We’d love to welcome friends old and new to see the new exhibition space and dedicated ‘hands on’ area.  Thanks to a generous grant from the Humber Museums Partnership we now offer a great selection of activities for the Under 5’s.

One old friend who has returned is the replica Wetwang Chariot, kindly on loan from the British Museum.  In light of recent discoveries in Pocklington why not come and see for yourself what the chariot may have looked like.
